Lamps play a key role in achieving quality diffuse light. To create the perfect atmosphere, opt for lamps with opaque or fabric diffusers that diffuse light in a soft and balanced way.Pendant lamps, table lamps and wall lights with translucent shades are ideal for creating soft, relaxing lighting. Choose the right light intensity, avoiding too intense or direct light that could create annoying shadows and a feeling of stiffness. For perfect diffuse light, avoid excessive use of direct lamps or overly intense light, which can create annoying shadows and a feeling of rigidity. In addition, choose lamps with warm colours and appropriate colour temperature to ensure pleasant and cosy lighting. Also avoid overloading rooms with too many lamps, maintaining a balance between general and accent lighting.A good idea is to install dimmable switches to adjust light intensity according to different needs and times of day.

The strategic positioning of lamps is crucial to achieve diffuse and even light in any room. Position lamps so as to avoid annoying shadows and create an even distribution of light. Pendant lamps, placed in the centre of the room, spread the light evenly, while table or bedside lamps can create pleasant, cosy corners of light.Take advantage of wall corners and architectural elements to amplify the effect of diffused light. In addition, you can add a touch of magic by placing floor lamps near plants and decorative objects, creating eye-catching mood lighting.
In this paper, we review lightsheet (selective plane illumination) microscopy for mouse developmental biologists. There are different means of forming the illumination sheet, and we discuss these. We explain how we introduced the lightsheet microscope economically into our core facility and present our results on fixed and living samples. We also describe methods of clearing fixed samples for three-dimensional imaging and discuss the various means of preparing samples with particular reference to mouse cilia, adipose spheroids, and cochleae. © 2022 The Authors.
