Doric light sources can be controlled using the Doric Neuroscience Studio, allowing more complex forms of light source control than through standalone use.  For example, it is possible to program simple or complex light pulse train sequences and to control their start with an external trigger signal in multiple different ways, see the trigger presentation video.If your application requires control of the device with another software, we can provide the API to control from Matlab, Python, or C++, please contact our technical support for more details.

Each channel has a BNC input connector for up to 10 kHz TTL/analog modulation of the driving current and a BNC output connector for monitoring the driving current or for synchronization with other devices. Its laser safety features include a rear panel interlock connector, a master key switch and a white LED illuminated control knobs indicating laser diode operation. Also, each FC optical connector has a metal dust cap that acts as protective mechanical shutter. Unlike most commercial laser diode drivers, our linear driving electronics eliminates leakage current to get no light output for zero set current. That means no residual light exits from the laser diode when the driving current is set to zero. This feature is important for optogenetics experiments. The available wavelengths and fiber-coupled power values are given in the table below. For multichannel models, any wavelength combination is available.

The Drama FS-LED 700 is an extremely powerful follow spot LED fixture with a single source 350-W LED, producing outputs comparable to a 700-watt lamp or brighter. Faders and buttons are located directly on the back of the fixture to control the unit's features. The unit has a color wheel that produces a red, green, yellow, blue, orange and white spot light. The Drama FS-LED 700 also features a CTO wheel, used both for adjusting color temperature and the color hue of each primary and secondary color. The diameter of the spot can be easily adjusted with the unit's built in iris, great for long throw highlighting of small objects on stage. The Drama FS-LED 700 has a fader for controlling the smooth dimmer. A strobe fader controls the random and variable strobing of the LED for fantastic effects . The unit is compact, allowing for easy transport and use in cramped spaces. The Drama FS-LED 700 comes with a powerCON connection and cord for powering the unit.
