In my purely anecdotal experience, I've not noted any significant difference between lights off/blinds closed, lights on/blinds closed, lights on/blinds open, lights off/blinds open. I'm curious:

I've not found much in the way of actual documentation on how ambient light levels affect tracking performance. My room has 4 walls, and two of those walls have windows that get sun all day due to the room facing south. So, I'm curious as to how much ambient lighting affects tracking performance.
