Dauntless Air is an aerial firefighting company deeply dedicated to winning the wildfire missions we undertake. Armed with the country’s largest and most advanced Fire Boss fleet, we work in close coordination with wildland firefighters and other aerial forces to help contain fires faster, so they can’t grow into large and costly disasters.

Our Vision is to win the war against wildfires. We believe this vision is achievable, but getting there is increasingly challenging given the shifting US wildfire landscape. Climate change, unhealthy landscapes and expanding human development in the wildland-urban interface are combining to create costlier fires that are burning and spreading much more quickly than they did 20 years ago. Faced with this reality, aerial firefighting strategies must be optimized for rapid initial attack to contain small blazes before they escape and become multi-acre, multi-million-dollar devastations.

For more than 25 years, we have partnered with federal and state agencies to fight wildland fires across the United States and Canada. Our proven aerial firefighting strategies and unmatched safety track record have led to tens of thousands of wildfire missions in the states of Washington, California, Oregon, Alaska, Minnesota, Idaho, Colorado, Texas, Michigan, Florida, Montana, Utah, Nevada, Wyoming and North Carolina as well as Canada.

"Dauntless Air has unique capabilities, some that no other vendor can provide. Their forward-looking innovations bring big advantages."

The cornerstone of our fleet is the single engine scooper, Air Tractor AT-802F Fire Boss, which adds a new dimension of capability to wildland firefighting operations.

We secured our first state contract in 2007 with Minnesota and our first federal contracts in 2009, with the Federal Bureau of Indian Affairs and Bureau of Land Management. Today, we continue to partner with federal, state and private entities to protect people, land and property from the devastation of wildfires.
