The funding under this award will be utilized to hire an analyst that will work with law enforcement agencies across Dane County.  The analyst position will work to develop coordinated violent crime strategies, identify locations where violence occurs and that require additional resources, and focus on persons most likely to commit gun violence to drive down gunfire deaths and injuries.

The NIBIN Overtime grant announcement provides additional overtime funds to support police personnel for the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network program (NIBIN).
