The HAZMAT CPS 6900 suit is a type 1a gas proof garment with the self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) inside the equipment in order to offer maximum protection against gas, chemical substances, aerosols and solid particles. The NS Series disposable Coverall is the first level of protection for category 3. The TS Series microporous coverall is a category 3 type 4, 5, and 6 protective clothing. It is composed of a polypropylene substrate coated with a laminated polyethylene microporous film (PP/PE). It prevents the passage of liquid molecules to the inside. But it allows water vapor to escape to the outside, making the garment very breathable and ideal for long-duration work.

The permeation time of a hazmat suit defines the time that it takes a chemical agent to break through the material of the equipment. In Europe, permeation time tests are mostly released depending on the FINABEL 0.7.C standard. The different materials that constitute a chemical suit have different permeation times. This characteristic must be taken into account in the choice of equipment for each application.

The reusable hazmat suits are heavier, the most cumbersome and the most expensive, sometimes weighing up to 300 gr/m2 as they are more protective. They require very careful decontamination in approved maintenance centers, which can result in significant costs and delays.

The CPS 6800 gas-tight suit, with its external breathing apparatus (type 1b), offers an efficient protection against hazardous substances in gaseous, liquid and solid form. It is designed in Umex, a material that guarantees high mechanical resistance ideal when manipulating cryogenic substances and works in cold environments.

The reusable or limited-use chemical protection suits are class 3 personal protective equipment. They are therefore subject to an annual periodical check like all class 3 PPE. This periodic inspection includes a tightness check of the suit and valves on a test bench. For reusable versions, this complete inspection must be performed every year for 10 years.
