The responsibility of safeguarding a human life on its own is no easy feat.  The added multiplier of doing so with a dignitary/celebrity intensifies the mission. In this course, students will learn the fundamentals of safeguarding their “principle” while on the move, in crowded environments, under threat, including methods to egress from potentially deadly situations. Upon completion of this course, the student will be proficient in providing protection for a dignitary/celebrity at home, in public, or while traveling. Most importantly, they will have the tools and training and comfortable with being uncomfortable.

(2) Policies and procedures governing CEWs are developed prior to CEWs being used and amended as needed to reflect the transition to a new CEW model.

Conducted Energy Weapon or CEW: A weapon that when discharged uses a conducted electrical charge in order to incapacitate a person, or to generate compliance through pain.
